The workbook is key in my opinion to get the most out of the ideas and lessons of the songs. The workbook is 125 pages full of coloring and activity sheets for all the songs on the 8 Happy Kids Albums. You will also find lyrics for the songs and physical activities. There are great ideas leading to productive conversations with your children for instilling these values. The printed workbook is available through the Happy Kids website and currently selling for $12.56. There is also an option to subscribe to the website and receive pages via download.
I like having the book in hand versus on the computer or tablet. It is much easier for me to implement and follow through with the activities. That said, my older girls have been the ones leading their younger siblings. The songs and activities are geared toward 3-8 year olds. We talk about the concept focused on together. We usually do this during a listening lunch when we have listened to the song presenting the topic. The actual activities and initial listening have been conducted by an older sibling.
Friends & Sharing is the first album. As with each of the albums, there are five songs. Four of the songs cover making and being a friend. The fifth song is about sharing. You can hear samples of each song.

Happiness & Attitude is the seventh of the eight available albums. The albums are available to download from iTunes or Amazon for $4.95. You also have the option to purchase songs individually for 99 cents. You could choose the songs you want. Buy the individual songs and burn your own custom disc for your child. It is also easy to add the downloaded song files to a device. My children have an iPod for their use. We added some of the songs to it for them.

Manners & Character is the 6th album from Dr. Mac & Friends. Dr. Mac also known as Dr. Don MacMannis Ph.D. is the creator of this musical tool. He is a child and family psychologist as well as a singer and songwriter. What a great combination of his talents. The songs all feature children singers. Children love hearing voices like theirs singing.

These songs are catchy tunes with a big message. The values and skills taught are wonderful for all children. In our home, only the younger ones (4 and 6) enjoyed the listening portion. My older girls and myself would join in for the activities, but tried to spare our ears. Just because we are picky doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check this out. I love the idea – it could be just perfect for your family!
