Herbal ABC’s ~ Blogging Through the Alphabet, Again

It’s Time for Blogging Through the Alphabet, Again

Not only am I joining in on this round of Blogging Through the Alphabet with some of my Homeschool Review Crew friends, but I am one of the co-hosts, too.  That means you can find the links each week right here, starting May 10th.

 Herbal ABC’s

I’ve been using herbs in various ways for years.  We’ve been growing and foraging them intentionally for three years now.  I want to share all that we are doing and learning about herbs.  Using the ABC’s format will both give me a topic each week for Blogging Through The Alphabet and help me work through all that we have to share.  I’m no expert, but I love to bring you with me as we learn and experiment.  We’ll be looking at some characteristics and uses of herbs easy to grow or common to find wild in our area (Indiana).  We’ll look at culinary and medicinal uses, planting (or transplanting), harvesting, and preservation/storage.

First up, A is for Annuals.  We’ll look at what herbs we plant annually in the garden.  From seed or purchased plants.  I may even do a video.  I’m trying to pretend I am comfortable with that.  I want to be more comfortable with that.

Do you have questions about beginning to grow and use herbs?  Ask away here or send a message through the contact form.

Get to know the other hosts!

  1. I have an herb garden dream as well. Currently I’m reading about weeds — trying to figure out what should and should not be growing around my new property. I’ll bet a lot of weeds are actually herbs and vice versa!

I’m looking forward to all your Alphabet herb posts and maybe joining in the challenge. I just finished the April #AtoZChallenge (my theme was dragons and cursive handwriting sheets) and miss the consistency of it!
