Good Humor has been synonymous with ice cream and summer for decades. They are celebrating their 90th anniversary this year. Many of our parents, grandparents, and even, great-grandparents have fond memories of running out to greet the familiar truck, change in hand, for a cool, sweet treat. My children were introduced to the sweetness that is Strawberry Shortcake-on a stick-just last week. Even in our really small, rural Indiana town we can find Good Humor bars. To find Good Humor in your town, just check out this page. I had to play around to get it to locate anything in my area. Once I found out our local Dollar General had one of the multi-packs, we headed over. In the freezer case were 3 other varieties as well. The locater may not find your desired flavor, but check out the retailer and you may be pleasantly surprised like we were. As we were checking out, I spied a freezer case with individual items–some not available as a multi-pack and $1.49 or less. I had to pick up a Reese’s Ice Cream Bar, because of the great combination of chocolate, peanut butter and ice cream. It was great!

As a member of the Mom Bloggers Club, I received a coupon for free product. I used it to buy a box for my family. We have 5 ice cream eating children plus 2 parents. A box of 6 doesn’t quite serve all of us, so I bought the (super yummy, worth every penny) Reese’s Bar myself. Now that I know how close they are and reasonably priced for an occasional treat, we may find more occasions for a treat 😀 These opinions are solely my own, influenced only by the goodness of the ice cream.
