ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Andrew is the creator, writer, and illustrator of the Lost Sheep series. Way back in 1989 as a young Bible college student, Andrew was asked to give the dreaded “children’s talk” at a large church. Andrew possessed one talent: he could draw sheep. He bought some overheard projector sheets and drew up the story of Cecil and the Lost Sheep. The congregation loved it, so Andrew continued to draw stories to use with kids and adults. Other student, pastors, and teachers started borrowing the stories.

We all really loved this story. Cleverly illustrating John 15:1,5,

    The Gardener and the Vine

captured my children’s attention. They loved when Basil repeatedly said “this is the end”, only to have something wonderful happen. They noticed right away the blood when the magnificent vine was cut to graft Basil to it. I had not read Cecil’s page at the end, setting this story up for my children, and they ‘got it’ anyway. I love it when I see that they see the Lord’s plan all on their own. I will be looking for more Cecil & Friends books to add to our family library.
