We received a 2 disc set from Light Speed, a video learning program by Cerebellum Corporation. This was provided to our family free for the purpose of this review. We received the Writing set to prepare for the AP English Language & Comp. Exam. This is available for $14.98–currently on sale for $11.24.
There are four subjects covered in the new AP program. You can review and prepare for the AP exam in Chemistry, History, U.S. Government & Politics, or Writing. The two disc program consists of one disc of fun and entertaining video reviewing topics covered throughout an AP English course. The second disc is a digital workbook that can be printed and completed while watching the 52 minute DVD. One of the features of the video is 30 in 30. This covers 30 essential topics in 30 minutes. Their are also tips such as how much time to allocate for each portion of the exam. This fun and entertaining video make preparing for the exam simpler. The hints and tips can help direct your studying time to what is necessary.
This was truly fun to watch and seemed very thorough. I have never taken an AP English course and it has been many a few years since High School, but I think this would be a great aid in preparing for such a stress-inducing exam.
