Kinderbach is available as an online membership for $19.99 paid monthly (or save and pay for a year $95.88 in one payment–$7.99/month). There is no limit to the students participating in the online lessons. When you go to the site and login for your membership, you choose what level and lesson to work on. Kinderbach is also available to purchase as a DVD. Each level is available separately for $40.45 and includes a package of 3 disks-the lessons on DVD, the printable activities as PDFs on a CD, an audio CD of songs to play along with.
We received a short membership free for the purpose of this review. A two week trial is available free to anyone interested in these fun lessons. I had my three oldest girls, ages 9,7, and 5, participating in the lessons. The video portions reminded us a little of ‘Blue’s Clues’ in that an actual person is shown with an animated background. They were a little old for some of the activities, but still enjoyed doing them. Most importantly, they were learning. I only wish we had had a piano/keyboard available to continue beyond the first lessons. No driving to lessons, doing the lessons at each students pace and when they work in your family’s schedule make Kinderbach a top choice for piano lessons.
Kinderbach is real music program. My girls were learning about rhythm, levels of sounds and notes. This program is not like other early learning programs I have seen where helps are applied to the keys. My children were learning in a way that is more real and can be duplicated on any piano, not just in a prepared environment. That is not to say that the program is all work and no play. With Dodi the Donkey and other lovable characters to play with, your children will be asking to practice their piano lessons.
