Popchips are a hit in our house

We love snacks here at our house.  Salty and crunchy are two of my favorite flavors (right after dark chocolate).  We recently had the opportunity to sample and review popchips.  I had not heard of them before and initially thought they were made of popped corn.  Once I learned they are potato chips, I was practically drooling in anticipation.

So what exactly are popchips?  According to their website:  We don’t fry it (unhealthy). We don’t bake it (undelicious). We take wholesome potatoes, add a little heat and pressure, and pop! It’s a chip. The only thing added is a flavorful blend of seasonings for a snack so delicious and crispy, you won’t even notice it’s (we hesitate to say) healthier.

With seven yummy flavors, their is one for everyone.  We received small bags (100 calorie size or kid size depending upon your point of view) so they did not last long.  The ones my family allowed me to eat were wonderful.  Actually, I tried one of each bag–I had to for the review, right?  I had the salt & vinegar and barbecue all to myself.

One of my favorite things (besides tasting good, being all-natural and crunchy) was the state of my hands while enjoying my snack.  They did not become greasy or orange.  These chips are ‘finger-licking-good’, it is just that you don’t need to lick your fingers.  This comes in quite handy when you are multitasking (no grease stains on the baby, or computer, or….).

Right now, for the month of December, they are offering Facebook fans an opportunity to save $1 off your next bag of popchips! All you have to do is be a popchips fan on Facebook. It’s a 30 day rolling coupon, so you have 30 days to use it after you print it, anywhere popchips are sold in the U.S.  Here is the Facebook link: http://popchi.ps/hnPjlH

I was provided with samples of popchips to review as part of the Happy and Healthy Moms review team.  I received no monetary compensation and the opinions expressed are my own.
