Two of our most used F*R*E*E homeschool resources

There are many freebies out there to help on your homeschool journey.  As part of this week’s TOS Homeschool Crew Blog Cruise, many will be shared.  Be sure you check out all of them.  Maybe we’ll find some new ones.

One of the two we use the most are Homeschool Freebie of the Day.  Each day a new freebie is shared.  Sometimes what is shared is something that is free all the time.  Other times it may be an out-of-print treasure that they have formatted for easier use.  My favorites are the specials that are free only on the day posted.  Be sure to sign up with them to get a weekly e-mail of the expected freebies for the week.  Subscribers also often get exclusives that are not available to everyone that comes by the main website.

Our second favorite site is My Audio School.  This site is not solely a freebie site.  There is a paid membership option (which is very reasonably priced for a year’s access to even more content).  We have been quite pleased with what is available free.  Many of the things are directly linked to Librivox (which is another favorite freebie find).  What I like about starting at My Audio School is that things are organized and categorized.  Want to find something to go along with a specific unit study?  Look up the time period or science topic and you will probably find something great to go along with it.  I love using audio’s in our day to take the place of Mama reading aloud.  I read aloud most of our studies and this can save my voice.  We use it most often during lunch.  It is much easier to eat when someone else is doing the reading.

I hope you enjoy these freebies.  Be sure to check out the other entries in this week’s Blog Cruise (going live Tuesday the 21st).
