Just from the introduction, I knew I wanted to read “Unexpecting”. I was drawn into the story and lives of the characters from the first few pages. It was so hard to put it down – yes, I was definitely hooked! Throughout the story, I cried, laughed (and even became angry a few times) and experienced life with this family. Any woman who has been a mom or step-mom or sister will find a connection. There were many parts I could relate to – anyone who has ever dealt with a family member’s addiction could. Having nearly reached life without a diaper bag, I can certainly see a glimpse of a freer life ahead. (not that I don’t love every minute of life with my children, but I dream of our later years now)
“Unexpecting” is a wonderful read that I highly recommend. There is language that is not typical of other titles I recommend, just an FYI. Having read “Unexpecting”, I am anxious to read “Momnesia” as well. The family of “Unexpecting” is the same family from “Momnesia”, though I had no problems without prior knowledge of the first book.
