It costs so much to become educated beyond mandatory education, and as such people choose not to bother and to go a different route. This is not the case and teachers can often be found staying behind prepping for the next day and working on assessments and testing that is mandatory these days.
The issue is, low quality teachers lead to low quality education and then you have a generation of kids who have learned what they know from worksheets. This is not how it should be, there should be a teacher speaking to students and teaching them without screens and worksheets getting in the way.
