I love wearing my little ones. I was given a simple ring sling when my second DD was born. These are nice for older babies-toddlers. I would use mine most when going to the library with a toddler needing to be kept close to mama. I liked the idea of wearing my babies, having my hands free to care for my family. This just was not the carrier I needed. I started reading more about wearing little ones and discovered the plethora of carriers between babies 3 and 4. At this point, with baby #4 due just after the eldest turned 5, having a carrier was a must. I had a few requirements: I needed a carrier that would truly have my hands free, be comfortable for both mama and baby for longer periods of time and work with a baby of any size or age—and not cost a fortune. I settled on a Moby. It arrived when DS was 10 days old and we used it nearly everyday. It did not, however, work so well once he was bigger. I was now on the search for that one ultimate carrier that would truly fit my particular needs. The ERGO does meet nearly all of them–except price. Having a little experience with wearing my little ones, I knew the ERGO would be worth it’s price. Now to convince my husband 🙂
Maybe I won’t have to. My friend Kimberly at Raising Olives is hosting a giveaway for an ERGObaby Carrier. You can read her review and enter to win by visiting her blog. If I don’t win, I hope you do 😉
