A Head to Toe Transformation for Your Home

Do you ever feel like you just want to tear the walls down, and rebuild your home to make it into your dream home? We all do at some point, but to actually tear things down might be taking it a bit too far. There are going to be some things that you are just dying to change when it comes to your home, and we know a few of them! But, we can not have everything we want all of the time, can we? And when we say a head to toe transformation, we don’t necessarily mean that you have to go crazy and change absolutely everything. Sometimes, it’s the smaller changes that make the biggest differences. We have some fabulous ones in store for you! If you’re worried about money, then don’t think that this head to toe transformation has to start instantly. You can spread this out over the course of a few months, or maybe even a year or so. As long as you take your time to make your house perfect for you, that’s all that matters! Follow our guide and see what you can turn your home into!

Start With The Bedrooms

Since we called this a head to toe article, we might as well start with the bedrooms, arguably the most important room in the home. It might not be important to you as you don’t think many guests will ever see them, but is it not the room you are most excited to see at the end of the day? Is it not the room that you have to peel yourself away from every morning? That’s what we thought, so make it a paradise. Even if you think it’s one now, there’s always something you can do it make it better. Our top tip is to turn your room into a ball of fluff. Not literally, but there’s definitely some things you can do to add a little comfort. Tip number one, if your carpet is to the point where it has lost all fluff, no bounce, and it has a fair few stains on it, then spend a little money and get it replaced. Considering it’s only the bedroom, you won’t have to spend too much getting this sorted, unless of course, your bedroom is the size of a palace. If you have a nice open space on one part of your bedroom, get yourself a fluffy rug to match the carpet. If your bedroom furniture is fine, then you shouldn’t need to do much else other than focus on the decor. To ensure you have a relaxing environment, stick to the darker, soothing colors. We have always loved the mix of greys, whites, and blacks. As long as you have the perfect mix of grey and white, and throw in black accessories such as pillows, you won’t risk the room being too dark!

Don’t Forget The Bathroom!

Everybody loves a good bathroom, don’t they? Well, we sure do, and we know that the more effort you put into doing up the bathroom, the longer it’s going to last. The best way to go about this is to have a full renovation done. It’s not as easy as you think to make a few little changes to the bathroom and have it transformed. But, when you do have it renovated, it’ll be years before you even consider something like this again. So, if you’re going to do up the bathroom, you need to make sure that you’re going for something fresh and modern. Generally, people either go for a light themed bathroom or a dark one. We have a feeling that if you go for the darker bathroom, then you’re going to have a spa-like feeling going on. If you want to go the extra mile, we would highly recommend that you go for a cave sort of themed bathroom. You can have the walls as stone with funky jagged features, but keep it pretty open plan still. You don’t want to feel like you’re actually boxed into a cage! Stick to a white sink and toilet, and it will just all look so cool and unique!

Everyone Loves A Good Kitchen

Well, we’re sure some people might not agree with loving being in the kitchen, but they definitely do like looking at them. When a kitchen looks fresh and modern, there’s just something about it that makes you want to get in it and cook! Luckily for you, you don’t necessarily have to renovate it to change the way it looks. Simply changing the cupboard doors or countertops and putting in a few new accessories could make all of the difference! So, if we’re going to talk about the accessories first, there are a few things that you can put in. First of all, to make your life easier, you can get retractable kitchen taps. This allows you to pause and/or direct the spray for easy cleaning. They are actually so much more handy than having to move the tap around trying to spread the water where you need it. Whether rinsing veggies or a few dishes, the usefulness of this type of kitchen faucet cannot be beat.  A new range, in stainless steel, will have you cooking and looking really professional and cool, and will last you for years. Keep most of the colors in the kitchen neutral, with a simple cupboard design if you can!  Add a few pops of color with textiles, a rug, and a countertop appliance or two.

A Fancy Dining Room

Once you’ve cooked your food, where are you going to eat it? Eating in the kitchen should be a thing of the past, it’s all about the traditional family atmosphere of being able to eat in the fancy dining room. First off, you’re going to have to get yourself a decent table. Generally, a circle table takes up far too much room, so go for a rectangular one. Glass would be extra fancy, but wood is easier to deal with. Make sure you treat yourself to some fine cutlery, candles for decoration, and good linens for a finished look.  Comfortable chairs are a must if you plan for dessert, too.  Remember, don’t use it only for guests, but everday family dinners, too.
