It’s one of my favorite times of the year. I love the colors and smells of fall! I love getting out the turtlenecks and wool socks; tending the crackling fire in the wood stove; baking (without worry of overheating the house) yummy things. I look forward to all the family gatherings, great times and memory making.
What I don’t love about this time of year – colds. It seems someone has a cough or stuffy nose. We try to eat well, cut down on sugar, increase Vitamin C containing foods (I think it no coincidence that citrus fruits are in season — Thank you Lord for providing!), get enough sleep, etc. It never seems to be enough though. I am hoping to learn more about and include more herbal and essential oil remedies for our family this year. I’ve read a little here and there, but it’s time to get serious about it.
