I have heard great things about BerryWell and BeeYouTiful and was looking forward to trying some more of their products.  I was familiar with their SuperMom vitamins–truly super.  I was hoping that these would have been on the list.

Our bottle of Berry Well arrived just as some of the children were starting to sneeze and sniffle.  Probably the only time I was glad we were having a cold go through our family 😉  With the trace of vinegar in its’ aroma and taste, not all of my children were as excited to take it.  Great, I thought.  Those two children will be my control in our little experiment.  The rest of us took a dose twice a day.  The younger ones taking a smaller amount as recommended by their age.  This cold was not the type to knock you off your feet, but my eldest daughter–the control–did complain of being tired and slept more than the others.  She also had longer lasting symptoms.  It did not completely wipe out our little cold, but we definitely suffered less in severity and length compared to my eldest daughter and the other child who did not take the Berry Well.  The other child was the 2 year old.  She didn’t like it and I didn’t want to fight her on it.  The taste is not bad at all.  It reminded me of the cough syrup (same viscosity) my mother made me take as a child–only more pleasant tasting-truly.  The other children were asking for this many times a day because they liked the taste.

So, what is in Berry Well that helped us feel better faster?  The berry is elderberry syrup.  I had heard of this a few years ago and how it is supposed to be great support for your immune system.  This also gives Berry Well its’ color and fruity taste.  The next ingredient is raw honey.  Raw honey is a ‘live’ food rich with enzymes and more to aid your body.  We use raw honey quite a bit for a multitude of things.  I think the honey added a thick, almost grainy quality to the Berry Well.  It reminded me of honey close to crystallizing.  Propolis also comes from bees.  They make it from resins gathered.  Propolis also has many beneficial qualities, such as antiseptic, antibiotic, antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal.  Echinacea root extract is also an ingredient in Berry Well.  Many people know of echinacea’s ability to help your body fight off colds.  The last ingredient is raw apple cider vinegar.  Used as a long time fold remedy, people take apple cider vinegar to ward off a multitude of things from viruses to mosquitoes.  Good stuff!  Combined together into one easy to take syrup, Berry Well can help your family to get healthier and stay that way.

I am not a medical professional and this is just my opinion-along with some details from BeeYouTiful’s site and various other sources from a simple online search.  You can do your own search to see if you think these ingredients might be beneficial to your family.  Berry Well does make it easy–and yummy–to take.
