Sharing your heart …. on your tote?

This month, I received two beautiful totes from Dayspring through (in)courage.  They have quite a selection that are currently on sale.  There are beautiful graphics, lovely sayings and inspiring scripture. What a nice, subtle (and useful) way to share your faith with the world.

When I signed up, I chose the “Hope for the Best” tote.  “Hope for the Best.  God’s in the Habit of Giving It.” inspired by Matthew 6:8 “Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need before you ask him.”  Can you imagine having this slung over your shoulder while waiting in line.  Someone standing nearby reads that and feels encouraged.  Not encouraged by anything you do, but by the Lord’s words.  Or perhaps, a conversation is sparked and you have the opportunity to share your faith.  If you’re anything like me (shy – really!  I am only a talker online) this ice breaker can really open doors where your voice might otherwise stay hidden in your throat.  😉

Once I the tote actually arrived, I checked it all out.  Inside, I was surprised to find a zipped pocket on side and 3 open pockets on the other.  The size is much more generous than I imagined.  I could fit many library books in it along with the – keys-sunglasses-cell phone-iPod – necessities.  This tote is not only beautiful and inspiring on the outside but very practical and useful, too!  I love it when I don’t have to choose function over form!

The second tote that arrived has a cute graphic and the quote “I was God’s idea.  Please be nice.”  This tote is jute and brightly colored – it was saying “beach tote” to me.  I could just imagine carrying some towels, a good book and bottle of water for an afternoon in the sun.  There is plenty of room and handles just the right length to carry in your hand or over your shoulder.

The second tote was “to give to whomever we want”.  I have two friends that recently added to their families.  Instead of the typical gift for baby, I gave each of them one of my totes.  When you have a few children it seems you never have enough hands to carry all the “stuff” a mama needs.  I hope they are blessed by and enjoying their totes.  I pray too that the scriptures decorating the exterior will touch someone who happens to read it.

Head over to (in)courage to find which tote “speaks” to you.  There are several styles to choose from.  Through the end of June, you can purchase 2 and get one free!
