We love using lapbooks in our homeschool! We’ll be getting started with our official first day on Monday. We use lapbooks to accompany what our planned lessons are — going along with other curricula. We also use lapbooks as a break from our regular curricula. Or when mama doesn’t have all the books we need to start a new unit (not that this ever happens, right?).
I plan six weeks at a time and might begin or end our term with a fun lapbook unit — especially for my 7year old son. We’re coming to the Revolutionary War time in our American History studies. I’ll be printing out the American Revolution lapbook from A Journey Through Learning for my children to use. Lapbooking gives them something hands-on to do while we complete our studies – a must for my active boy.
This is the time of year we are getting our plans and routines in order. Don’t leave out your blogging when printing planners.
