We are a fairly frugal family here. We clip coupons (sometimes), shop sales, buy used, spend less than what we make. But sometimes I feel like I am missing something obvious. I love reading on Crystal Paine’s site to see areas I could do more or do something differently. Freebie finds, meal plans, budget tips and planning forms for it all. When I learned of Crystal’s new book, The Money Saving Mom’s Budget, I knew I would pick up some good tips. I had the opportunity to review the audio version. All the forms and planning pages are included as pdf’s. (Yay!) The audio files were easy to load onto my iPod–and listen to anywhere. I really liked having this book as an audio — and I didn’t think I would. It has been so easy to listen to while working in the kitchen, running errands, etc. It was pretty neat to hear the author’s voice reading her book. You could hear how passionate she is about saving money and helping you to save, too! My favorite thing I learned? De-cluttering will help you save money. My spring cleaning/purging/de-cluttering frenzy — it will help stretch those dollars my husband works so hard for. I love that!
